The quality of the beds is nice, the beds lack that instant cozy that other dog beds we have offer. Think less like fleece and more like a cotton comforter. The dogs needed to rough them up a little to get comfy. The pattern is fun, and the blue is a little darker than pictured. The small is really small, the medium is a large medium. I think we need an inbetweener size. I have three regular resident dogs and we often have varying sized foster dogs. My smallest dog is 10 pounds, she is a chihuahua, dacshund, Samoyed mix. The littlest one fits in the small bed, but not by much. She definitely likes to squeeze into small places, somewhat catlike, but this is a small bed. I took a few pictures of her in this bed and in the medium rectangle sized bed. The medium rectangle sized bed fits the 10 pound dog and our 20 pound mini schnauzer at the same time.We have quite a number of DII pet products and have been very pleased with the quality and service over the years.

This is a very plush small bed suitable for a cat, in my opinion, but probably not a dog as described. The sides and bottom are very thick, so a cat of the right size would be comfy in it. The sides are high enough to offer your cat security and warmth.I had planned to give this to my 7 pound chihuahua. She sleeps in small cat beds, but she can't get in this one because the walls are too high for her to step into due to her arthritis.I've attached pictures of the bed with a Campbell's soup can, because most people are familiar with that size of can. You can see that there isn't a whole lot of room inside.The tag says this bed is machine washable. The fabric is polyester, and the weave of the fabric as well as the white color lead me to believe it will easily get dirty. However, I can't imagine this shape and thickness of bed as being easy to wash and dry. I would recommend vacuuming it well because the inside seams will trap a lot of pet hair. I have also attached a closeup of the seam inside the bed. It appears to be tightly sewn, but it will be a hair trap.Overall, I think this is an okay bed. There are much higher quality beds out there, but you may like the style of this one. The size and shape will make it a comfy choice for some pets, but not all.
